Very often you hear from people what comes to their mind about Furuno, answer is “Best Radars, Commercial Radars”. It could be also easily “Greatest Fishfinders” since that is our story´s beginning point where this Furuno Group is build from.

In 1948, a device for detecting fish underwater was developed in Nagasaki, Japan. The Furuno brothers, Kiyotaka and Kiyokata, the owners of a small marine electrical company in a small port of Japan, developed this amazing new technology.

From that point we have been going far and today our fish finding equipment portfolio is broad starting from FCV600/800 models combining CW and Chirp technologies in stand alone fishfinders for sport fisher to light commercial fishing and ending up to big omni-sonar systems for heavy offshore fishing vessel.

In between there is great side-scanning technologies in TZTouch-product family and multibeam systems like DFF-3D and WASSP multibeam systems.  Fishing is our core business, has always been and will be our future as well.
